No. The rental agreement is always between the owner (or manager) and the rental agreement specifically states that the non-profit can't be held liable for anything relating to the rental. In addition, each owner (or manager) collects a damage deposit (or damage waiver) that covers any possible problems.
We also require each of our owners/ property managers to maintain adequate liability insurance.
Therefore, your organization has no risk of having a legal problem relating to the rentals on your TravelPledge site.
No. Not at all. The rental agreement is completely between property owners/managers and renters (those that book online or purchase a vacation at an auction event). Most of the vacation listings are actually posted by professional property managers and their businesses depend on accurate listings and happy renters. All managers that post properties on our sites agree to make all efforts to ensure that the renters are very happy with their vacation. In addition, as a last resort, if we believe the renter has a valid concern, we have the ability to issue a partial or full refund to ensure the renters are happy at all times.
NO. We don't ask you to promote Geronimo at all. You'll have a custom-branded TravelPledge website that we build for you, and it will serve as an extension of your existing website. It will have your colors, your logo, photos, etc. Rentals (agreement between property owner/ renter) that occur on your branded site will generate a nice donation for your cause. You'll automatically receive a check from our paying agent (JustGive.org). Your custom branded site is analogous to a "donate" button on your own website.
